UB227: UBE2G2

LifeSensors UB227 is a human UBE2G2 enzyme involved in endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD), essential for studying protein ubiquitination and degradation pathways.

$196.00$390.00

Applications

  • Identify cognate E2/E3 pairs
  • Characterize upregulation/downregulation of E2 enzymes
  • Build poly-ubiquitin chains
  • Characterize ubiquitin chain specificity of E2 enzymes
  • Analyze expression of E2 enzymes

Benefits

  • Untagged (native) E2 conjugation enzyme
UBE2G2 is the human homolog of yeast Ubc7, and has been demonstrated to be involved in endoplasmic reticulum associated degradation (ERAD). Structural studies indicate that this single domain protein possesses a loop region, likely involved in interaction(s) with the RING domain that impart binding specificity and/or stability. This 165 amino acid protein is ubiquitously expressed, highly in muscle tissues.
