YOD1 (OTU1)  is a deubiquitinase that acts on K27-, K29- and K33-linked polyubiquitin chains. It is able to hydrolyze K11-linked ubiquitin chains. YOD1 removes conjugated ubiquitin from proteins and participates in endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD) for misfolded lumenal proteins.
