ITCH

ITCH is a HECT E3, which influences immunity, the skin, and plays a role in cancer by targeting various transcription factors and growth factors. Additionally, ITCH functions by ubiquitinylating target substrates for lysosomal degradation, and is associated with K29, K48, and K63 liked ubiquitin. Due to ITCH’s regulator effects on specific transcription and growth factors, ITCH has implications within the neuro-immuno-endocrine system.
