Applications

  • “Pre-clearing” of cell lysates prior to pulldown experiments
  • Negative control for pull-down experiments
  • General recommendations: pre-clear 1ml of cell lysate (3-5mg/ml total protein) through incubation with 30µl resin for 1hr (4°C). Individual conditions may have to optimized by the end user.
Control Agarose Beads. For use in “pre-clearing” cell lysates, as well as a negative control for the pulldown of polyubiquitylated proteins in conjunction with agarose-conjugated TUBEs (UM401 and UM402). Control Agarose is generated by blocking an activated matrix (identical to that used for TUBEs conjugation) with ethanolamine. Control Agarose (200 µl resin) is supplied as a 50% slurry in PBS, pH 7.2, 20% ethanol.
