Specifications

Increasingly, researchers are focusing on the role of poly-ubiquitin chains linked through K11. This post-translational modification has been linked to ERAD as a signal for proteasomal degradation. In addition, K11-linked chains appear to play an important role in cell cycle signaling, as they are associated with the anaphase promoting complex (APC) of ubiqiutylation machinery. These tetra-ubiquitin chains are generated through the enzymatic linkage of wild-type ubiquitin through lysine 11 and purified to 95% homogenity by ion exchange chromatography.
