MALVERN, Pa., SEP 1, 2022 – LifeSensors Inc., a Biotech and Drug Discovery Company focused on PROTAC, molecular glues, and neurodegeneration diagnostics, is pleased to announce that Lifesensors has published a seminal paper: Accelerating PROTAC drug discovery: Establishing a relationship between ubiquitination and target protein degradation.

This paper is published in the Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications (BBRC), an international scientific journal devoted to the rapid dissemination of timely and significant experimental results in biological research.

PROTACs and the Ubiquitin Proteasome System (UPS) are emerging as a powerful medium in drug discovery through which Dr. Kadimisetty uses “TUBEs” as ubiquitin-binding entities to monitor PROTAC-mediated poly-ubiquitination of target proteins. The technology described wherein is a direct way to evaluate and discover PROTAC and molecular glue targets for use in drug discovery.

Furthermore, the paper demonstrates how ubiquitination kinetics can establish the rank order potencies of PROTAC with variable ligands and linkers, allowing additional insight into the functionality of the UPS.

About LifeSensors, Inc.

LifeSensors, Inc. partners with pharma and biotech companies to help life scientists innovate in basic research, drug discovery and diagnostics. We pioneered the SUMO-fusion system to measure high quality protein expression. Our development of cutting-edge tools for the ubiquitin proteasome system (UPS) and Protein Targeting Chimeras (PROTAC) gives scientists new tools to observe and test the fundamentals of this emerging area in medicine. Poly-ubiquitin affinity matrices, Tandem Ubiquitin Binding Entities (TUBES), are changing the way scientists make discoveries in UPS and how they identify new biomarkers for neurodegeneration and drug discovery.

We are making an impact in the lives of scientists through innovation and pushing the envelope with regards to novel research techniques not only in PROTAC technology, but in the growing and highly applicable areas of Molecular Glues and other technologies regarding the ubiquitin proteasome system.
