PE1000K: pE-SUMOpro Kan Kit
LifeSensors 1000K pE-SUMOpro Kan Kit enables efficient protein expression with SUMO fusion tags in E. coli, enhancing functional protein yield and purification for research use
High-yield production of untagged recombinant proteins in E. coli
Benefits
SUMOpro may dramatically enhance the solubility of recombinant proteins in E. coli
Specific cleavage of SUMO yields native protein with desired N-terminus (except proline)
SUMOpro has been shown to protect peptides from intracellular degradation
The SUMOpro Protein and Peptide Expression Kit maximizes yields of soluble, untagged, functional proteins with the desired N-terminus. While other prokaryotic expression systems use engineered protease cleavage sites that produce amino acid extensions and often result in non-specific cleavage within the protein of interest, LifeSensors’ highly active and specific SUMO protease 1 recognizes the tertiary structure of the SUMO tag, generating the desired N-terminus and never cleaving within your protein of interest. In addition, the SUMOpro kit makes purifying your protein affordable and straightforward. By linking a His6 epitope to both the SUMO fusion tag and SUMO Protease 1, the SUMOpro system allows efficient and rapid purification of untagged protein using immobilized metal affinity chromatography.
