PI3105: pI-SUMOstar Insect (BEVs) Secretory Expression Kit

The Insect Secretory SUMOstar Expression Kit contains everything necessary for expression and secretion of your protein of interest (POI) as a SUMOstar fusion protein in a baculovirus expression vector system (BEVS). Bacmid generation from pI-secSUMOstar requires the use of DH10bac for transposition into the baculoviral genome. Expression of fusion proteins is driven by the late stage viral polyhedrin promoter (polh). Your POI is targeted for processing and secretion through fusion with the secretion signal sequence from the envelope surface glycoprotein 67 (gp67) from Autographa californica. For propagation in E. coli pI-secSUMOstar contains an ampicillin marker. Chicken anti-SUMO/SUMOstar IgY is included for analysis of protein production and secretion. The inclusion of SUMOstar Protease 1, along with the control SUMOstar-GFP, allows for removal of the SUMOstar tag from the POI with high efficiency and fidelity.
